LIPS PRE ADVICE –

  • If you have a history of cold sores (herpes simplex) and are scheduling a lip enhancement we advise you to use anti-herpes medication for example Zovirax ointment that can be obtained from a chemist. Use the preparation 1-week prior and 1-week after your enhancement 5 times a day to reduce the incidence of outbreak by 50%. Oral anti-herpes medication (Acyclovir) will control the incidence of an outbreak more or less completely. PMU does not cause cold sores, however if you carry the virus, it lays dormant in the nervous system and can be aroused by the infusion process.
  • IPL laser hair removal around the mouth should be carried out no less than 2 weeks prior to your procedure.
  • Waxing and bleaching treatments should be performed no less than 2 weeks prior to your procedure.
  • Electrolysis treatments should be performed no less than 2 weeks prior to your procedure.
  • Dermal fillers in the lip should be performed no less than 4 weeks prior to your procedure.
  • Permanent makeup cannot lighten dark lip tissue so expectations must be managed.
  • Prepare to drink through a straw for a few days after
  • Lightly exfoliating your lips to remove dry dead skin will help with better retention
  • Keep your lips moisturised

This information provided is to minimise bleeding throughout the procedure. Preparation for your appointment is VITAL for proper retention. If you do not follow this information presented and bleeding is not reduced, then you may risk your cosmetic tattoo not holding the pigment to the skin. Bleeding pushes out the pigment colour that I am implanting into your skin.

If you have any queries regarding the information provided, please contact me as asking is always best.

PMU (Permanent Makeup) enhancements normally require multiple sessions. To achieve the best results you may be required to return for a second application between 1 – 3 months after the initial application.

Be prepared for the colour intensity to be significantly sharper and darker immediately after the procedure. This will subside and become softer as the skin heals. This process can take up to 14 days.

Please  do not arrive more than 20 minutes late to your appointment, as I am unable to accommodate for late arrivals and you may lose your deposit because of this. Please allow more than enough time for traffic and parking (parking is available free at the facility).

If you follow all pre-care information and the aftercare information I provide you will get the results you are after. Please also understand after your procedure, you will need to keep your brows moisture free for 2 WEEKS. This includes avoiding extensive sweating and any water on your face.
